McAfee Artemis
The McAfee Technology Preview Test Report is now online.
Could you not have given us the link - it took a while before i can find it

- btw do i understand that one has to be online all the time for mcafee new tech to work !?
yes, you have to be online. If you are not online, McAfee will work as usual - without Artemis.
hello .. i can see that mcafee resultes for August 2008 does not include artemis technology, how can we get the new results of mcafee + artemis (not mcafee alone) ??
please i'll wait until some one post a reply.
ok, i found it in the report file ..
thanks any way
Efficacy of McAfee 2009 version.
I have been using McAfee (the version reviewed by AV Comparitives) for nearly three months now. I find that it is a great improvement on the Norton that I was previously using. McAfee does have a 'heavy' power footprint but my laptop is coping with it. AV Comparitives put McAfee into the top four best AV's in the world. Yet many people tell me that McAfee is virtually useless & I would be better off with the freeware AVG or something. Why is there a certain amount of people who keep claiming this? I've been informed, by so called 'experts' that the test AV Comparitives did was only 'virtual' & that McAfee is virtually useless (no pun intended).
I am just puzzled why there is so much vehemence &/or vitriol directed towards McAfee & yet not towards other AV's (excepting Norton maybe)? Is it a matter of fashion & McAfee is not fashionable enough for the geek community?

those who told you that probably have the old experience with McAfee (probably without Artemis) in mind and have not evaluated in depth the new versions (how should they can..). As they like and use free versions (like AVG, etc.) they will tell you to use that too and to do not use well-known AV's like McAfee, Symantec, etc. Just keep in mind that what they give you is usually just their personal opinion and not facts or objective criteria like detection rates etc. provided by AV-Comparatives.
Well, I assumed as much. I think if people have had a bad experience with something it affects their view of it for a long time. I had a lot of problems with installing & running Adaware anti-malware. It just didn't work for me. Maybe it is because I am running Vista, I don't know. I certainly wouldn't try & use it again but many people have used it for years successfully. McAfee seems to be working fine for me anyway.
